Activity Example: Precision Stepping and Bilateral Coordination Task

Goal: Improve dynamic balance, motor planning, and bilateral coordination in a client recovering from a neurological condition (e.g., stroke) or a child with coordination difficulties.

Setup: Arrange the 20 rings in a staggered, overlapping path across the floor (as shown in the product image), simulating a stepping-stone pattern.

Instructions:

Instruct the client to step through the center of each ring in sequence, alternating feet, while maintaining upright posture.

Introduce a cognitive-motor dual task by calling out a color the client must consciously step toward or avoid.

For upper limb integration, place small objects at select rings and ask the client to bend, reach, and retrieve them while maintaining balance within the ring boundary.
